Where it fits. HeatEater is our high temperature wheel line, built on glass filled nylon so the wheel can run through oven and proofer cycles without softening, glazing, or flat-spotting the way a standard tread would. Glass filled nylon is a high-strength tread that carries heavy loads at low rolling resistance and shrugs off water and most chemicals. It will not rust or corrode. Nylon is among the hardest treads offered, so it is best matched to smooth floors where capacity outweighs quiet.
Construction. This is a solid glass filled nylon wheel with no separate core. Hub width is 1-1/2″. A plain bore bearing carries the load.
Load and duty. The 700 lb rating is per wheel. Standard practice is to size a four-wheel set assuming three wheels carry the load, so this wheel supports roughly a 2,100 lb cart with margin for shock loading and uneven floors. Continuous operating range is -70°F to 550°F.
