A 4″ light/medium duty Retort wheel with a 2″ flat tread in white and running on a 1-3/16″ plain bore with a 2-3/16″ hub. It carries 700 lb and operates continuously to 290°F, with a Shore D75 high temperature polypropylene body.

Where it fits. Retort is our autoclave and sterilizer line, using a high temperature polypropylene tread that tolerates repeated steam and retort cycles while staying non-marking and corrosion free. High temperature polypropylene extends the chemical resistance and low rolling resistance of a standard polypropylene tread into elevated-temperature service. It will not rust or absorb water, which suits it to equipment that cycles between washdown and heat.
Construction. This is a solid high temperature polypropylene wheel with no separate core. Hub width is 2-3/16″. A plain bore bearing carries the load.
Load and duty. The 700 lb rating is per wheel. Standard practice is to size a four-wheel set assuming three wheels carry the load, so this wheel supports roughly a 2,100 lb cart with margin for shock loading and uneven floors. Continuous operating range is -20°F to 290°F.
