Where it fits. Superwheel is our flat-spot-resistant line, using a cushioned tread that recovers its shape after a cart sits loaded, so wheels parked overnight still roll smoothly the next morning. Soft rubber is specified where quiet operation and floor protection outweigh capacity. The compliant tread absorbs shock and bridges floor seams, thresholds, and debris that would stop a harder wheel. Expect a lower load rating and more rolling effort than a hard tread of the same diameter.
Construction. The tread is molded to a polypropylene core. Hub width is 1-9/16″. Thread guards are fitted to keep string, film, and debris out of the bore. A 5/16″ steel Quad X bearing fits a 5/16″ axle.
Load and duty. The 250 lb rating is per wheel. Standard practice is to size a four-wheel set assuming three wheels carry the load, so this wheel supports roughly a 750 lb cart with margin for shock loading and uneven floors. Continuous operating range is -30°F to 140°F.
