A 5″ travelator TPU wheel with a 1-1/4″ flat tread in gray on tan and running on a 5/16″ single precision bearing. It carries 250 lb and operates from -20°F to 140°F.

Where it fits. Thermoplastic polyurethane is the general-purpose upgrade tread. It is non-marking, resists oils and most mild chemicals, and carries more load than rubber at the same diameter without the noise of a hard tread. TPU holds its shape under sustained static load, so carts parked loaded overnight are less prone to flat spots.
Construction. The tread is molded to a polypropylene core. Thread guards are fitted to keep string, film, and debris out of the bore. A 12-17mm steel single precision bearing fits a 12-17mm axle.
Load and duty. The 250 lb rating is per wheel. Standard practice is to size a four-wheel set assuming three wheels carry the load, so this wheel supports roughly a 750 lb cart with margin for shock loading and uneven floors. Continuous operating range is -20°F to 140°F.
