An 8″ medium/heavy duty swivel caster pairing a TPU wheel with a zinc plated steel yoke on a 4″ x 4-1/2″ top plate. It has a 6-1/8″ swivel radius and turns on a 1/2″ steel dual precision bearing.

Where it fits. Thermoplastic polyurethane is the general-purpose upgrade tread. It is non-marking, resists oils and most mild chemicals, and carries more load than rubber at the same diameter without the noise of a hard tread. TPU holds its shape under sustained static load, so carts parked loaded overnight are less prone to flat spots. This swivel model rotates a full 360 degrees and is normally specified two per cart with two rigid casters at the opposite end, or four per cart where the equipment has to move sideways in tight aisles.
Construction. The yoke is formed from zinc-plated steel for corrosion resistance. It mounts on a 4″ x 4-1/2″ top plate with 3-1/8″ x 2-1/16″ bolt-hole centers. Thread guards are fitted to keep string, film, and debris out of the axle. A 1/2″ steel dual precision bearing rides on a 1/2″ axle for smooth, low-effort rolling.
