Where it fits. Polyurethane combines high load capacity with floor protection. The tread is non-marking, resists oils and most chemicals, and carries substantially more weight than rubber at the same diameter while still cushioning the load. It is the standard choice where capacity and floor finish both matter.
Construction. This is a solid polyurethane wheel with no separate core. Hub width is 2-1/2″. A 1/2″ steel dual precision bearing fits a 1/2″ axle.
Load and duty. The 1,500 lb rating is per wheel. Standard practice is to size a four-wheel set assuming three wheels carry the load, so this wheel supports roughly a 4,500 lb cart with margin for shock loading and uneven floors. Continuous operating range is -30°F to 140°F.
