Where it fits. Thermoplastic rubber is the quiet, floor-friendly choice. The soft non-marking tread absorbs shock and rolls without the clatter a hard wheel produces on tile and sealed concrete, which makes it a common specification for patient areas, retail floors, and anywhere noise carries. Softer treads trade some rolling efficiency for that quiet.
Construction. The tread is molded to a polypropylene core. Hub width is 1-13/16″. Thread guards are fitted to keep string, film, and debris out of the bore. A 3/8″ steel dual precision bearing fits a 3/8″ axle.
Load and duty. The 350 lb rating is per wheel. Standard practice is to size a four-wheel set assuming three wheels carry the load, so this wheel supports roughly a 1,050 lb cart with margin for shock loading and uneven floors. Continuous operating range is -30°F to 140°F.
