Where it fits. Epoxy resin is built for the highest continuous temperatures in the line. The tread is shock and impact resistant and is unaffected by most chemicals, water, or steam, which is what allows it to travel directly from freezer to oven. It is a hard tread, so expect it to transmit floor noise. This swivel model rotates a full 360 degrees and is normally specified two per cart with two rigid casters at the opposite end, or four per cart where the equipment has to move sideways in tight aisles.
Construction. The yoke is formed from zinc-plated steel for corrosion resistance. It mounts on a 3-1/8″ x 4-1/8″ top plate with 3-1/8″ x 2-1/16″ bolt-hole centers. A 5/16″ steel bushing rides on a 5/16″ axle for smooth, low-effort rolling.
Load and duty. The 300 lb rating is per caster. Standard practice is to size a four-caster set assuming three casters carry the load, so this model supports roughly a 900 lb cart with margin for shock loading and uneven floors. Continuous operating range is -20°F to 475°F.
